Description/Job Summary

AgGeorgia Farm Credit, ACA, is focused on "Helping Georgia Grow for Generations." We are a member-owned cooperative devoted to the success of agriculture and rural Georgia through relationship-driven lending and financial services.  Currently, AgGeorgia Farm Credit services 79 counties in Georgia and has loan assets of approximately $930 million.  Our success results in cash returned to our member/owners totaling over $360 million since 1988.  

Our internship program offers college juniors and seniors the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge and understanding of the many products and services offered by our company while also gaining insight into the many issues facing the agriculture industry.  The program is a paid internship, $12 an hour, during the summer months.  Your internship location is determined during the interview and offer process.  Internship locations include: Cartersville, GA, Chatsworth, GA, Clarkesville, GA, Cordele, GA, Dublin, GA, Gainesville, Ga, LaFayette, GA, Montezuma, GA, Moultrie, GA, Nashville, GA, Ocilla, GA, Perry, GA, Quitman, GA, Rome, GA, Royston, GA, Sandersville, GA, Sylvester, GA, Tifton, GA, Washington, GA, and Waynesboro, GA. 


As an intern, you will work alongside our Relationship Managers, Credit Analyst, Loan Processors, Loan Assistants, and others to understand the day-to-day processes of each functional area.  You will meet with customers, both in the office and at their operations, to learn first-hand about their businesses and how our relationship focus drives success.  During your internship, you will also complete a strategic project which will utilize the knowledge you have gained in your educational experience and internship experience.  Specific areas of focus may include accounting, marketing, credit philosophy, loan documentation, and legal issues.  

Preferred Education

Preferred college majors include: Agricultrual Business, Agricultural Economics, Business Management, Accounting, and Finance. College junior or senior with an overall grade point average of at least 2.50. Must be an active full-time student taking at least 12 credit hours as time of application.
